Terms of Service


THE LUXE LEASH

Trusted in-unit care for the modern dog owner.


Effective Date: November 1st, 2025


By completing this purchase, you agree to the following Terms of Service for The Luxe Leash (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a privately operated dog potty-break and pet-care service run by residents of Meeder Flats (not associated with Meeder Flats). These terms govern all services provided.


1. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

We provide weekday (Monday through Friday) 15-minute in-unit pet visits within a structured 10 AM–2 PM window. Each visit may include a potty break, brief outdoor walk near the building, water refresh, light affection, and simple enrichment as appropriate.

This is a recurring service billed every 4 weeks.


2. ACCESS TO UNIT

Client authorizes The Luxe Leash to enter their residence using a door code or access instructions provided by the client.

Client agrees to:

  • ensure provided codes are accurate
  • notify us of changes at least 24 hours before the next visit
  • provide safe, unobstructed access to the dog and gear
  • leave out any required harnesses, leashes, coats, wipes, or other items

We do not retrieve items from closets, drawers, or private areas.


3. SAFETY & BODY CAM USE

For safety, transparency, and accountability, our staff uses a discreet body camera during entry, exit, hallways, and the service visit itself. Footage is stored securely and automatically deleted on a rolling basis unless needed to investigate an incident.


4. WEATHER PROTOCOL

In cases of heavy rain, snow, ice, dangerous temperatures, or otherwise unsafe conditions:

  • Visits will NOT be canceled.
  • Walks may be shortened or modified to a quick potty break near the building.
  • Remaining time will be spent indoors with light enrichment and care.


This policy ensures animal safety and staff safety.


5. HEALTH, BEHAVIOR, & HOME ENVIRONMENT

Client confirms their dog is:

  • up-to-date on vaccinations to the best of their knowledge
  • not aggressive or a bite risk
  • safe to handle with reasonable care

If a dog displays unsafe behavior, we may adjust services or discontinue service at our discretion.

Client is responsible for ensuring the home environment is reasonably safe (no loose hazards, blocked exits, etc.).



6. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

While The Luxe Leash is insured, client understands and agrees that:

  • We are not liable for home damage caused by the pet during or outside of visit times.
  • We are not responsible for issues arising from structural problems, lock malfunctions, alarms, or building systems.
  • We are not liable for pet illness or injury that is unrelated to negligence on our part.
  • We are not liable for pet escape due to defective equipment, broken leashes, or improperly secured collars provided by the client.

Client agrees to hold The Luxe Leash harmless from claims arising from normal risks associated with pet care.



7. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

If your pet experiences a medical emergency during our visit and you cannot be reached, we will use reasonable judgment to seek veterinary care. Client agrees to be responsible for all associated costs.

 


8. CANCELLATION & BILLING

This service is billed automatically every 30 days via subscription.

Cancellations must be made before the next billing cycle.

We do not offer partial refunds for unused visits due to the subscription-based structure and limited availability.


9. PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA

We may take occasional photos or short video clips of your dog during visits for updates and for use on our social media or marketing materials. By enrolling, you give permission for your dog to be featured unless you request otherwise at any time.

We will never share personal information, unit numbers, access details, or anything identifying your home.


10. LIMITATION OF SERVICE

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

  • the dog is unsafe to handle
  • the home environment is hazardous
  • access is repeatedly unavailable
  • the client violates terms of service


11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By completing checkout, client acknowledges they have read, understand, and agree to all terms listed. This agreement is binding for all services rendered by The Luxe Leash.
